HELENA - A Missoula lawmaker wants to allow more people access to medical marijuana.
Senator David Wanzenreid wants the state to allow people with post-traumatic stress disorder to be able to access medical marijuana. Senate Bill 310 adds PTSD to the list of conditions eligible for treatment with cannabis.
Patients suffering from cancer, epilepsy, Crohn's and multiple sclerosis can currently be issued a medical marijuana card.
The bill was heard in the Senate Judiciary committee on Thursday, but lawmakers have yet to vote on the measure.
The exact same bill failed to pass last session.
