Missoula jail suicide victim identified, accused of raping child

MISSOULA - Authorities have released the name of the inmate who committed suicide in the Missoula County Detention Center last week.
Danny Wayne Johnston, 57, was being held for a probation violation and sexual intercourse without consent after being accused of raping a 6-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say Johnston, who lived in Lolo, raped the child on two separate occasions in September.
The Ravalli County Sheriff's Office is the coroner in the case, and the Missoula Police Department was also involved in the investigation.
