MISSOULA - Commuters coming up U.S. Highway 93 into Missoula on Thursday morning saw some action from law enforcement on Buckhouse Bridge, just south of town. But it all turned out to be a false alarm.
Reports came in that duck hunters were taking shots off the bridge at around 8:30 a.m., but when officers arrived at the scene and worked out the details they found that the hunters were legal, and that the initial reports of where they were shooting from were wrong.
The Montana Highway Patrol along with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks responded to the scene along the Bitterroot River.
