The Millie Fire, caused by lightening on August 20th, is listed at 87% containment and is just over 10,000 acres in size.

The Bozeman Ranger district of the Gallatin National Forest has command on the fire, which is currently smoldering.

The Pine Creek fire is at 8,500 acres, is 51% contained, and is also listed as smoldering. That fire is also under the command of the Gallatin National Forest.

Officials say the cause of the Pine Creek Fire is human but details have yet to be released as it is still under investigation.
