Man transported to hospital in Butte for severe stab wound

A man is transported to St. James Healthcare on Sunday evening after suffering a stab wound to his arm.

Authorities responded to 1819 Florida Ave on a report of a stabbing. Authorities said there was an altercation between two men inside the residence. It resulted in one man stabbing the other.

A first responder at the scene said the wound was deep and the victim lost a lot of blood. He was transported to the hospital around 6:30p.m. Authorities remained at the Florida residence to inspect the scene.
