MISSOULA - A former University of Montana-Western football player pled guilty in Justice Court Wednesday for his involvement in a bat attack on a gas station clerk.
Devon Kamaka originally pled not guilty to felony robbery but changed his plea to guilty for his part in the violent robbery at Jay's Mart gas station back in January.
Kamaka was one of a group of men accused of beating the gas station clerk, 31-year-old Patrick Bendig, with a baseball bats and then taking off with the cash register.
His sentencing date has been set for October 30th and faces a penalty of up to 40 years in prison.
