Man injured after Montana motel stabbing

BILLINGS - Shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, Billings police responded to a report of a stabbing at the Rimview Inn in Billings.

According to Billings Police Sgt. Pat Curry, officers located a 51-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his abdomen and cuts to his hand. Sgt. Curry says that the victim was in room 229 when an unknown man burst into is room and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The victim and the suspect reportedly struggled with a knife until the suspect fled.

The victims' injuries do not appear to be life threatening and the investigation continues.
