Man foiled in attempted armed robbery Saturday morning

According to Bozeman Police reports, a man unsuccessfully tried to rob a Casey's Corner gas station on Ferguson Road with a loaded gun around 3 a.m. Saturday.

The report states that the male attempted to rob the store with a loaded 12 gauge shotgun when the reporting party grabbed it from him and hit him in the back of the head.

Details are limited but according to the police report, the reporting party did not know the suspect, but only "got a ride with him."

The police report also states that the reporting party was able to escape the suspect and hide the shotgun in a safe location.
Police had at least 1 subject in custody according to the report.

The suspect also allegedly had a loaded .45 in his car.
