MISSOULA - A man is facing several charges after officers arrested him inside of the Southgate Mall at gunpoint last Friday.
Skylore Hallock is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and obstructing a peace officer.
Missoula police responded to the mall after several people reported a man who was leaning out of a car window and pointing a gun at them. One man said he heard "popping" sounds as the suspect car drove by a daycare on Brooks Street.
Witnesses told police the suspect went into Sears in the mall, so officers also went into the store. Hallock saw them and that's when he allegedly took off running across the store, before stopping and being ordered to get on his knees at gunpoint. He was then arrested and taken to the Missoula County Detention Facility.
Investigator found out that the weapon he was using was an airsoft gun, but some of the victims told police it looked like a 9mm gun from a distance.
The judge ordered a mental health evaluation for Hallock and set his bail at $50,000.
