BOZEMAN - A man was arrested for felony criminal endangerment after he was reportedly driving erratically through downtown Bozeman, putting Halloween revelers in danger.
Shandon Wallowing, 30, of Busby, Montana was arrested on Sunday after police saw him traveling east on Main Street at around 70 miles per hour, court papers state.
Officers approached the car after it skidded to a stop at a red light at the intersection of Rouse and Main. Police estimate the car skidded at least 100 feet before stopping.
When police approached the car they saw an open can and bottle that appeared to contain alcohol, according to court papers. The passenger in the car said he was "scared" and called the event a "death ride." In addition to putting the passenger at risk, court papers also noted that Wallowing put a "multitude of revelers downtown for the Halloween holiday" at risk as well.
He was also investigated for DUI. He reportedly had BAC results of .290 and .214.
He was cited for criminal endangerment.
