MISSOULA - A Missoula man accused of robbing a convenience store and two casinos in less than seven hours earlier this week allegedly admitted to the crimes.
Corey Benjamin Schreckendgust is facing four felony charges, including robbery, for the early Tuesday morning incidents.
Prosecutors say Schreckendgust robbed a Noon's convenience store on Russell Street. Then, attorneys say, about 20 minutes later he robbed the Montana Lil's Casino on North Reserve and six hours after that he robbed the Lucky Lil's Casino on Brooks.
Police say he got away with cash in all three robberies. When he was interviewed by detectives, Schreckendgust reportedly told investigators he needed the money for drugs.
"At the time these offenses were committed, Mr. Schreckendgust had been on felony probation for about two weeks as a result of a drug offense," said Jason Marks, Deputy Missoula County Attorney.
Schreckendgust is in jail on $200,000 bail for the robberies and the probation violation.
