MISSOULA - A Missoula man admitted that he beat an innocent man with a baseball bat during a January robbery at a Missoula gas station.
Tureadon Thibodeaux entered open guilty pleas to conspiracy to commit robbery and assault with a weapon.
An "open plea" means Thibodeaux is putting himself at the judge's mercy when it comes to sentencing, because there's no plea agreement.
He and former Griz football player Andrew Badger are accused of walking into Jay's Mart on Reserve Street, beating a 31-year-old clerk with baseball bats and then taking off with the cash register.
Devon Kamaka, his brother Ikaika and Cruz Bernardi are also facing charges in connection with this incident.
Thibodeaux's sentencing will be set at a later date.
