BOZEMAN - A man is behind bars accused of pointing a loaded gun at another man at a Belgrade casino over the weekend.

Kevin Ebright, 57, is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of criminal endangerment. He is being held in the Gallatin County Detention Center.
At around 8:22 p.m. Sunday, Belgrade police were called to the Lucky Palms Casino on East Main Street for a report of a disorderly man. When they arrived, they found two men holding down Ebright who still had the .32 caliber semi-automatic pistol clenched in his hand, court papers state. According to court documents, police took the gun, which still had a loaded magazine inserted and a bullet in the chamber of the gun.

The bartender told police that Ebright came into the casino and was being rude to her, called her names and refused to leave. Two other people came over and Ebright began to leave but then came back and began throwing his hands into the air like he was going to fight, the bartender told police.

When he came back, Ebright and another man began punching each other, the man said. He got up and turned around and that's when the man said he heard someone else say that Ebright had a gun. The man turned around and said he saw Ebright pointing the gun at him.

"He was going to shoot me," the man told police.
That man and a second man were able to wrestle Ebright to the ground, while one of them stood on Ebright's right hand, preventing him from moving the gun, court papers state.

Gallatin County Justice Court Judge Bryan Adams set Ebright's bail at $75,000, pointing out that Ebright brought a loaded gun into a bar.

"I do have a concern for the safety of the community because of that," Adams said.

Ebright's preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 15.
