BOZEMAN - The Bozeman Ranger District will close the "M" Trailhead and parking lot on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to replace the toilet.
The work is expected to take one day to complete and the Trailhead should re-open on Saturday, Oct. 13.
"This is one of the most heavily used recreation sites on the Gallatin National Forest. It is only with the help of RAC funding that we are able to replace the unworkable and unsanitary toilet located at the trailhead," said Lisa Stoeffler, Bozeman District Ranger. "The new toilet is a fully sealed, better ventilated building that is more sanitary and easier to clean and access. It will provide a better resource for those who enjoy this popular recreation site."
The closure is being implemented for safety reasons as there will be heavy equipment working in the already limited trailhead area.
