Local TV stations on satellite services in Southwest Montana are off the air today. The local CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and PBS signals are not seen on either Dish Network or Direct TV.

KXLF/KBZK Chief Engineer, Mike Warner, says he suspects a fiber line failed or was cut because both services went down at the same time. Both satellite networks use fiber lines to transmit signals from Butte to uplink sites in Colorado and Wyoming. There is no word on when service will be restored. Warner says both companies say they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
