KILA - A Libby man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on U.S. Highway 2 on Sunday near Kila.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. when the 49-year-old man was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve, according to Montana Highway Patrol dispatchers.
The driver, who was wearing a helmet, struck a guard rail and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Authorities say the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
