MISSOULA - Hundreds of perspective jurors are packed into the Holiday Inn in Missoula where jury selection in the rape trial of suspended University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson is getting underway.

Some 400 perspective jurors were summoned for the case, but about 180 are taking part in the process Friday, as many were dismissed, most likely as a result of a special questionnaire that was sent out prior to jury selection.

One dozen jurors will eventually be picked for the trial, which will move back to the Missoula County Courthouse for the duration of the trial, which is expected to last about 11 days.

Johnson is accused of raping a woman nearly a year ago while the two were watching a movie at her house, but Johnson says the sex was consensual.
