Superstar John Mayer is the main attraction Wednesday night at the Emerson Cultural Center in Bozeman. Its called the Livingston Town Proper - A concert to benefit the fighters of the pine creek fire that burned for several weeks in Paradise Valley this past summer. John Mayer has a house in the area. Now he says he wants to give back to the people who helped save his home and the homes of many others.

Tickets for the concert went on sale last month and reportedly sold out in minutes, including 44 tickets with a $1,000 price tag.

Mayer is also raising money by auctioning off a guitar signed by the artist himself. The guitar has been on display at Music Villa in Dowtown Bozeman. The winner of the raffle will be announced at the concert.

The show promises to be unique as Mayer usually performs in much larger arenas.

According to Mayer's website, the money raised tonight goes to the The Park County Community Foundation, who will distribute the money to various area volunteer and city fire departments who lent their support and resources to fight the Pine Creek Fire.
