Montana State is well rested and ready for the playoffs.

After a first week bye the Bobcats will host the Stony Brook Seawolves in a game under the lights of Bobcat Stadium. Kickoff time is 5 p.m.

Stony Brook earned a trip from their home on Long Island New York last week by knocking off Villanova. The Seawolves have a simple offensive philosophy, run the ball, and then run it some more. Two running backs split the carries. Miguel Maysonet is a Walter Payton Award finalist. Maysonet has rushed for more than 150 yards per game. He has crossed the goal line 21 times. Maysonet shares some of the carries with Iowa transfer Marcus Coker who has rushed for nearly 1,000 yards.

But the Bobcats have shined on defense this year. Their run defense is one of the best in the country. Only two backs have run for over 100 yards against the Cats this year. They have won the turnover battle and have a control offense led by quarterback Denarius McGhee.

The winner of this weeks game will face the winner of the Cal Poly/Sam Houston State game.
