It looks like it will be a great day for mothers on Sunday.
While it will be warm, there is a chance for a few afternoon showers and storms on Sunday, as an approaching cold front moves into the area. Plenty of sunshine will begin the day as many of us will warm up into the 80's continuing our nice warm weather trend.
The chance for showers remains low, at about 30 percent, but there is a chance for a few of those afternoon storms to become somewhat strong, especially Monday afternoon.
If we hit the 80-degree mark, it will be the first time this year! While close, no records are expected as we eclipse 80 degrees on both Sunday and Monday. By mid-week, a cooler weather trend is on the way as highs plummet down into the 60's with an increasing chance for showers.
The combination of warmer temperatures and increasing chance for showers could possibly lead to a quick rise in river levels across the area. The current river forecast has the Gallatin River at Logan rising nearly 2 feet between now and Tuesday afternoon.
