Investigation into body found in Alkali Creek continues

BILLINGS - The investigation into a body found floating in a creek Saturday is now in the hands of detectives from the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office.

The man's body was found floating in Alkali Creek in the Billings Heights early Saturday evening.

Shortly before 5 p.m., local law enforcement responded to the creek near Fas Break Auto on Main Street.

The man was discovered by a family using the bike trail at Earl Gus Park near Main Street and Airport Road.

Yellowstone County Undersheriff Kevin Evans could not confirm if there was foul play involved in the death.

Officals says that more information about the death will likely be released Monday.
