BOZEMAN - Tourists numbers are up, and according to the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, that means a healthy growth for our local economy.

Chamber President Daryl Schleim says with record passenger numbers at Bozeman Yellowstone International that means an increase in local spending in our economy, and more money leads to continued growth.

"We need some type of growth, 3 to 4 to 5 percent per year, in the county and in the city to be healthy, and I think thus the interest of building a new downtown hotel, my place hotels, a new comfort in and suites so you're starting to see more hotels being built because of that travel coming in." says Schleim.

Schleim says summer isn't the only time of year for tourists, a big ski season in our area helps keep our tourist numbers strong all year long.
