HELENA - The Helena Fire Department is investigating an overnight fire that destroyed a home that was being built.
In a press release, the HFD says that fire crews were called out at 3:47 a.m. on Sunday to the 2500 block of Woodward Avenue.
When they arrived, a residential structure in the early stages of construction was fully engulfed in flames.
Crews put the fire out and prevented it from spreading to nearby homes.
The structure has been deemed a total loss; no dollar amount of damage has been calculated at this point.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials and the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's office are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
