Boeing plans to expand the Helena manufacturing site by nearly 50 percent to support demand for their 787-10 Dreamliner.
Boeing's CEO JIm McNerney said he expects to add 20-25 jobs to the 144-person workplace. The $35 million expansion will add more than 55,000 square feet to the manufacturing space.
"Our further investment in Montana is a testament to our Helena team's ability to deliver on their commitments and establish themselves as a reliable, globally competitive supplier to our commercial airplane programs," McNerney said.
The announcement was made at the Montana Economic Development Summit in Butte.
Boeing is livestreaming the first flight of the 787-9 Dreamliner, which is scheduled to go live at approximately 10:40 a.m. http://www.newairplane.com/787/787-9/
