HELENA - Levi Roope is facing his fourth DUI charge after a bloody altercation with officers at St. Peter's Hospital.
Roope was arrested for felony DUI on Friday after colliding with two vehicles in the Jade Garden Parking Lot in Helena.
Roope was taken to the hospital for a blood sample, and it was there when Roope became disorderly and a fight ensued.
Roope was able to get hold of two vials of blood and broke both vials with his hand, covering himself and both officers, along with a good portion of the room, with blood.
Roope was finally controlled after officers threatened to used a Taser.
He is being held in the Lewis & Clark County Detention Center without bond.
Roope was convicted of burglary in Lewis & Clark Count in 2005.
