BUTTE - About 2,000 NorthWestern Energy customers are without power after heavy, wet snow fell in Butte and the surrounding areas.
NorthWestern Energy crews are working to address the issues, which include snow on lines, downed trees and other weather-related issued, according to a news release.
The following areas are most affected:
"Our crews are working to address the issues and restore power as quickly as possible. Phone-service issues are also causing delays in the ability of customers to report service issues to NorthWestern this morning," the release states.
NorthWestern Energy reminds people to stay away from downed lines and report issues immediately by calling (888) 467-2669.
