Hazardous travel weather setting up tonight into Saturday

Winter Weather Advisory continues for Beaverhead, Madison and Gallatin counties until 5pm Saturday afternoon.

Snow accumulations of 2"-4" for the valleys and 5"-8" over the mountain passes.

SW winds will be strong at times 15-25 mph and increasing as a cold front moves through to 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph will reduce visibilities below a quarter of a mile at times overnight into Saturday morning.

Areas affected: Targhee pass, West Yellowstone, Raynolds pass, Big Hole pass, Chief Joseph pass and Monida pass.

Winter Storm WARNINGS are up through Saturday evening for eastern Idaho including Monida pass. 8"-16" of snow is possible with wind gusts over 50 mph overnight into Saturday on I-15 and over into Island Park, ID.

Wind Advisory is also up for I-90 in the Livingston area through 10am Saturday. SW Winds 30-45 mph with gusts to 60 mph likely creating hazardous cross winds.
