Authorities closed a section of I-15 between Wolf Creek and Craig for several hours Wednesday night due to an overturned semi-truck carrying hazardous material.
According to the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's office, the truck was carrying mono ammonium phosphate, which is a dry chemical used for lawn fertilizer.
The accident happened just after 8 p.m. near mile marker 226 just north of Wolf Creek.
Sheriff Leo Dutton said both lanes of I-15 were closed from Wolf Creek to Craig while crews cleaned up the spill. The Montana Department of Transportation re-opened the highway just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Sheriff Dutton said Wednesday night that there was no threat to the environment or waterways.
There were also no reports of injuries.
