MISSOULA - A suspended University of Montana football player will not spend any time in jail for buying illegal drugs at a large party in October.

Judge Robert Deschamps gave Trevor Poole an 18-month deferred sentence for possession of ecstasy at the Disco Bloodbath during a Tuesday appearance in Missoula District Court.

The offensive tackle pleaded guilty to the charge in November.

Poole's attorney told us that once Poole is off probation he will apply to be reinstated to the UM football team in hopes of playing this fall.
