BOZEMAN - Nine lucky Montana State University fans got a chance at winning a $30,000 scholarship on Saturday.
During half-time at Saturday's Bobcats football game, the nine finalists who had registered at various sponsors across the state got a chance to choose a "diploma" from MSU president Waded Cruzado - and only one contained the winning scholarship.
The person who had the winning diploma: J.P. Lamey of Great Falls.
Lamey said, "I'll probably pass it on to my daughter if at all possible. She's a science geek, so we'll see."
Cruzado said, "This is absolutely transformative in the life of this individual, his family, I mean this is absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for your sponsors. I am very touched."
