A Great Falls man is in serious condition after crashing his car into a bridge northeast of Cascade on Saturday morning.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, the 73-year-old was driving north on I-15 around 10:30 a.m. when his car drifted off the interstate near mile marker 261.
Officials said he missed the guardrail and traveled 700 feet in the median before crashing head on into the bridge support columns.
MHP said speed and alcohol were not a factor, but believe he may have had some sort of medical issue at the time.
He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Officials have not released the man's name.
