GREAT FALLS - Reginald Stanfield has charged with felony theft for allegedly stealing jewelry from Beehive Assisted Living and selling it for scrap metal.
Police say a jewelry shop in town contacted the Beehive Homes owner when they suspected Stanfield of stealing jewelry from residents.
The store says between February and April, Stanfield sold five batches of rings.
Court documents state that when he was questioned, Stanfield admitted to stealing all but one of the rings.
Officials say he received more than $2,500 for two of the rings.
The other rings were melted down so their value couldn't be estimated.
