GREAT FALLS - William David Hill has been arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals.
A press release from the Cascade County Sheriff's Office states that officers received a report just before 3 a.m. on Monday, March 18th, of cruelty to animals.
Deputies responded to 1111 Harrison Street to check on the welfare of two dogs.
Officers found two "very badly beaten dogs," one of which died as officers were investigating the dogs' conditions.
The surviving dog was taken to a veterinarian for care, and the dead dog was taken as evidence.
Hill was found and arrested at about 10:15 a.m. without incident.
Bond for Hill has been set at $2,000.
