GREAT FALLS - A Great Falls man is facing a number of felony charges for allegedly abusing all of his four children.
Richard Chavez appeared in court on Friday on charges of aggravated assault, assault on a minor, and tampering with a witness.
One of Chavez's children reportedly told her teacher she witnessed her father choke her three-year old sister until she was nearly unconscious.
In an incident involving another child, Chavez is accused of repeatedly kicking one child in the abdomen as punishment for an in-school suspension.
Chavez reportedly admitted to police that he has abused his children, and told authorities he was so angry that he "blacked out" when he kicked the child.
He further admitted that he could not remember how many times he kicked his son.
Chavez is being held on a $10,000 bond.
