Glen Elwin Edsall passed away very peacefully on August 15, 2013 with all his family by his bedside.
Glen was born in Jordan, Montana, on August 1, 1925 to Hazel and Roy Edsall. He spent most of his young like on the ranch where he had to participate in all of the ranch duties. At a young age he and his brothers had to ride several miles to a country school. As he grew older he had to go to boarding school in order to get his education.
After graduating from High School, he enlisted in the Navy and when completing his duty, he entered Carrol College, later going to the University of Montana. He taught elementary school for a short time, and then went back to the ranch to help his dad with farming and with raising cattle.
In 195l, Glen married Martha Hoverson and in 1952, their first son, Kelvin was born, now in Denver, CO. Four years later their second son, Kyle was born, now in Phoenix, AZ. To this family three Grandchildren have been born, Kristina Lee (Kyle and Nancy Edsall), Sarah Alta and Spencer Townsend (Kelvin and Lou Ann Edsall). In 1958 he moved the family to Bozeman, where he worked selling Chevrolet's as a salesperson. Later he worked for the City of Bozeman as a building inspector. He was a member of the Sourdough Lions Club and participated in many activities. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He always had many friends, and was loved by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roy, Lowell and Phil.
The family suggests memorials in Glen's name may be made to the Sourdough Lions
Club or your choice of charity.
A family graveside service will be held as well as a memorial will be held at a later date.
