Gallatin County Commission lifts county-wide burn ban

The county commission votes to lift the county-wide Stage 1 fire restriction, effective tomorrow, October 15th.

The decision to allow burning on private land will now be in the hands of local fire districts.

So far, the only district to allow burning is the Hebgen Basin Fire District, which includes West Yellowstone.

The county-wide ban was imposed on recreational fires four-feet in diameter or less.
