Former Livingston man pleads not guilty to receiving child pornography

BILLINGS - A former Livingston man is accused of receipt of child pornography.

David Russell Hargrove, 33, of Columbia, South Carolina and formerly of Livingston, appeared for arraignment in federal court in Billings last week and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Hargrove is currently detained.

If convicted, Hargrove faces possible penalties of a mandatory minimum of 5 years in prison and could be sentenced to 20 years, a $250,000 fine and lifetime supervision.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - Homeland Security Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
