KALISPELL - The influenza virus shows no signs of slowing down as Flathead County is seeing another big jump in confirmed cases.
Over that last 10 days, 114 new cases were reported , putting the total count to 436 this season. By comparison, less than 100 cases had been reported last month.
Flathead City-County Health Department Director Joe Russell says the spike in numbers hasn't come as a surprise to him, considering how close we are to the pique of flu season, but he says the number of cases in general is still very high.
Flu vaccinations are still available at the health department.
