One of the earliest examples of a "viral video" from Montana is 10 years old today: the now-famous footage of a bear bouncing off of a trampoline in Missoula.
The video was shot by Mark Holyoak, the anchor at MTN News affiliate KPAX in Missoula, during his dinner break.
After being tranquilized, the bear falls from the tree, lands on the tramploline and bounces high, and then falls in a heap to the ground.
Despite the hard landing, the bear was not injured, and was then taken by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to a remote area and released.
In the news clip above, Holyoak and co-anchor Jill Valley show how the video quickly went viral, popping up on CBS News, late night TV, and other media outlets.
