Firewood available in Pintler District

If you need firewood for the winter, you can find it in recreation areas of the Pintler District.
Firewood permit holders can gather downed trees and wood at the Spring Hill, Cable and Lodgepole Campgrounds. The Echo Lake Picnic Area and Piney Campground access road area is also available for firewood pickup.
The firewood is available from October 13 to 29.
Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest officials ask that you have your firewood permit in possession and pull off the road.
