Firefighters responded this afternoon to a machinery fire at a business along Amsterdam Road near River Rock.
One piece of machinery was burned at Western Pines, according to officials at the scene.
At around 1 p.m., a machine used to make sawdust grinder caught fire then spread to a sawdust pile that was being made with machine, according to Amsterdam fire officials.
Amsterdam and Central Valley fire departments both responded with assistance from workers at Western Pines.
Responders used machines to spread out piles of sawdust and get the fire under control. The fire was brought under control quickly.
Three engines were on scene. The Gallatin County Sheriff's Department also responded. About a dozen officials were on scene.
Responders were on scene for a little more than an hour.
