Fire destroys home in Craig

CRAIG - A man in Craig is picking up the pieces after a fire destroyed his home early Friday.
Nobody was injured.
The homeowner woke up at about 1 a.m. and saw that the house was burning. He quickly ran out and found one of his three dogs; the two other dogs have not yet been found.
A nearby garage sustained some damage. Fire crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes.
Volunteer firefighters responded from Wolf Creek, Craig, Dearborn, Lewis & Clark, West Valley, Eastgate and East Valley.
The state fire marshal is assisting in the investigation.
