BOZEMAN - Finalists have been announced for the Bozeman High School principal position.
Superintendent Rob Watson announced the finalists in a news release Wednesday morning.
They include:
Kevin Conwell - currently employed as the principal of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, MT. Previously he served as the assistant principal/activities director in Hamilton and a teacher in Red Lodge and Malta.
Jeffrey Kraunz - currently employed as an assistant principal at Aspen High School in Aspen, CO. Previously he served as a teacher/counselor in Newton, MA.
Randy Russell - currently employed as the Bozeman School District activities director/assistant principal. Previously he served as a principal in Deposit, NY and a teacher in Bellevue, WA.
Steven Wolfe - currently employed as the executive director of educational services in Fremont Re-2 School District in Florence, CO. Previously he served as the principal at Florence High School. He was also employed as the athletic director and a teacher at Florence High School in Florence, CO.
Interview committees, comprised of students, parents, teachers, community members and central office administration staff, will conduct formal interviews on Thursday.
The community is invited to an public reception on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the New Library at Bozeman High School. At the reception, community members will have an opportunity to meet the finalists, ask questions, and provide written comments.
It is anticipated that a final decision and recommendation for hire will be made to the Board of Trustees in late February or early March. The new principal will start on July 1.
