TURAH - Two people involved in a Wednesday snowmobile crash near Turah suffered broken bones, but they're expected to be OK.
Initially, authorities said it was a snowmobile collision involving two 14-year-olds. The Missoula County Sheriff's Office now says it was a father and a son riding a snowmobile on a forest service road in the Allen Creek Road area.
Investigators say the two were going downhill at an unknown speed when the snowmobile got stuck in a rut and the throttle got stuck as well. They ended up losing control on a curve, went off an embankment and were thrown from the snowmobile.
Rescuers worked for several hours to help the victims. Investigators say both the father and the son were wearing helmets.
