A man using counterfeit money was arrested in Bozeman on Friday.
Andrew Joseph Jenson, 41, was arrested at the Gallatin Valley Mall after making a purchase at Foot Locker with what was believed to be a counterfeit $20 bill.
When law enforcement arrested Jenson, they discovered an additional 6 counterfeit $20 bills. Upon further investigation, law enforcement discovered Jenson had made purchases at other businesses in the mall, including Bath and Body Works and Spencer's.
Jenson had made each purchase using a counterfeit $20 bill and received valid U.S. currency in exchange.
Jenson has been charged with forgery, common scheme, and is currently be held at the Gallatin County Detention Center.
