HELENA - There is a social media movement underway aimed at recruiting Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau to jump in the race for the U.S. Senate.
The "Draft Denise Juneau" Facebook page launched right after incumbent U.S. Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) announced he would not seek re-election. More than 400 people have liked the page in just a few days.
Juneau, a Democrat, gained high profile attention after speaking at the Democratic National Convention during last year's election cycle.
Juneau's spokesperson says that she will consider a run for Senate if former governor Brian Schweitzer doesn't jump in the race.
