HELENA - Michelle Collar Gable, the woman accused of fatally shooting her estranged husband and his girlfriend in Helena last October, is now in Warm Springs.

The Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs is the only public psychiatric hospital in the state.

Gable was transported from the Gallatin County jail about three weeks ago to undergo an evaluation.

According to Lewis & Clark County Attorney Leo Gallagher, Gable is currently being evaluated to determine if she is both competent and well enough to stand trial.

He said it should take about 60 days for the evaluation, which will determine if the trial, scheduled for Jan. 7, will go forward.

Gable has complained of allergies and other ailments during her incarceration and has attempted suicide.
