POLSON - Authorities found a missing Polson toddler Sunday morning who was taken from her home and arrested the woman who is accused of taking her.
An AMBER Alert was issued for 2-year-old Lillianah BigCrane after she was forcibly taken from her home in Polson on Saturday night.
Police say Jamie Finley, 34, entered the little girl's home, assaulted her mother and took the child.
Polson Police Chief Wade Nash says they quickly determined an AMBER Alert was necessary and the notice warned that Finley might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Nash says that Finley and the young girl were found Sunday morning in Sanders County.
"Early [Sunday] morning the suspect vehicle was located in Sanders County. The female and 2-year-old were taken into custody," he said.
"The child was then turned over to the Department of Family Services and the suspect is currently being investigated and interviewed at the Lake County Sheriff's Office by Polson detectives," Nash added.
He says they haven't yet determined the relationship between Finley and the girl or the girl's mother. Nash says police should know more by Monday and adds that's when they'll determine whether charges will be filed.
