Dozens of people braved the cold on Sunday waiting for Olive Garden to open.
Sunday marked Olive Garden's grand opening in Bozeman. Doors opened at 11:00 a.m. and by 11:15, it was a full house.
"I let an employee in the front door at 10:30 and there were already people standing out there then so we appreciate that they braved the cold cold weather super cold weather and that's some passion and dedication for olive garden and we're happy to be here for them," said General Manager Tonna Neville.
There are dozens of places to eat in Bozeman and some people wonder why all the hype over Olive Garden?
"When I was pregnant, I craved Olive Garden. I made my husband drive all the way to Billings to get it for me. I think it's just something we've [Bozeman] wanted for a long time," said Nicole Peterson an Olive Garden employee.
Peterson isn't alone. Many at the grand opening said they would drive to Billings for the food. The dedicated Olive Garden Customers also shared a common love for the bread sticks.
"I think it's the cozy feeling, I think it's the great food especially when it's cold like this, the comfort food like our soups are fantastic , the sauce on our signature alfredo and of course the bread sticks, always the bread sticks," said Neville.
Olive Garden shares those signature dishes with the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. They have already donated over 200 pounds of fresh food and plan to continue donating.
Olive Garden is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
