MISSOULA - During the first day of testimony in the trial of a Montana man who is accused of several drug-related offenses, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent said Jason Washington had phone conversations with known drug dealers.

The investigation into Washington and his former medical marijuana dispensary, Big Sky Health, started in the winter of 2011. A DEA agent testified that Washington's phone records showed some of the same numbers from people the DEA was investigating in other cases.

Investigators set up cameras near Washington's businesses and wiretapped his cell phone to monitor him. Big Sky Health was among several dispensaries that was raided by federal agents in November of 2011.

Washington is facing three felony charges including conspiracy and manufacture of marijuana. The trial is expected to last about a week.
